Congratulations to former Batesville High School Basketball standout Michael Menser who was named to the 2022 Silver Anniversary Boys Basketball team by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
The 1997 Indiana All-Star was runner-up for Mr. Basketball and a consensus first-team all-state selection. Menser set school records with 1,700 career points, 414 assists and 87% free-throw shooting. His teams over four years went 86-15, won four EIAC and four sectional titles and one regional championship. In 1996, Batesville also won the Hall of Fame Classic where Mencer was named MVP.
At Indiana State, Menser totaled 1,301 career points and set the school record with 283 career 3-pointers. He was part of four consecutive winning seasons, culminating in 2000 and 2001 NCAA tournament berths.
