The BMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team pulled away in the fourth quarter and survived an extremely physical SEI Tournament opening round game, beating host South Dearborn by a 45-32 final score. South Dearborn found itself in the game the entire first half and eventually took a one-point lead early in the third quarter but the Bulldogs soon took all momentum and ran with it, scoring 14 points in that third period and closing the game on a 14-8 run in the final six minutes.
Hank Bohman scored a season-high 18 points and Beckett Jones came off the bench for 12 points. Lane Higham had eight points, RJ Schuerman added three points and both Jax Negovetich and Deacon Fledderman chipped in two points. Batesville (16-4) plays Greendale on the road tonight in the SEI Tournament Semifinals.
