On Saturday night, the Batesville High School Track and Field team competed at the Hoosier State Relays Indoor Meet at Indiana University. The Bulldogs grabbed two podium finishes in the meet, where
each event had 24 athletes or relay teams.
One of their podium finishes came in the girl’s 4 x 800m relay. The team of Kaylie Raver, Kaylynn Bedel, Ava Hanson, and Megan Allgeier dropped 27.71 seconds off their seed time, placing them 8th overall with a time of 10:04.30.
The other podium finish came in the high jump, where Ayden Eckstein jumped a 2-inch personal best, clearing 6’0″, giving him a podium finish of 8th place.
Batesville will now have a little over a week to get ready for their first outdoor meet, which will be a dual meet at Greensburg on Thursday, April 6th.
