Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. Wins Indiana Manufacturing Talent Champion Award

Batesville, IN—Batesville Tool & Die, Inc., global supplier of precision metal stamping components for the automotive, appliance, industrial and other industries, won the title of 2019 Indiana Manufacturing Talent Champion, at the Indiana Manufacturers Association’s (IMA) 2019 Hall of Fame Luncheon, held on October 16, 2019, at the Biltwell Event Center, in Indianapolis. The award was given as a part of the IMA’s Manufacturing Excellence Awards, which recognized Indiana manufacturing companies and individuals, in various categories, for their positive achievements and contributions to the industry.

Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. was selected from nominations received from the manufacturing community and competed against other world-class manufacturers for the award.

Batesville Tool & Die has taken an active role at the local, State and National levels for promoting and advocating on behalf of the manufacturing industry to both attract and retain the workforce. We host students, teachers, State and Federal representatives, school officials, parents, and local industry leaders to brainstorm and promote the advantages of working in manufacturing. We reach out to thousands of students per year to ensure the future of manufacturing continues to grow. Our President/CEO and executive team are highly involved with advocacy efforts at the State and Federal levels and offer tours/meetings at our plants so more political and public figures can see what manufacturing looks like today. To help attract workforce, we have added a walking track, updated break-rooms, added wifi to all break rooms, utilize water jet and 3D printers, have hosted over 50 co-op students to gain hands-on experience working with our die maintenance employees, offer tuition reimbursement and deferment for all employees, created an on-site Ivy Tech lab for our employees, created an internal Pay for Skills training program for financial gain and increased skill level, formed a Corporate Automation Team, and created a workforce certificate with Ivy Tech to allow all of our employees the opportunity to achieve a credential.
