Batesville Tool & Die earns international quality rating

Batesville, In. — Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. was recommended to be certified to the International Automotive Task Force 16949 certification which is one of the industry’s most widely used quality management standards. The standard checks internal processes from start to finish ensuring we are being held to the highest standard possible.

Risks associated with our customers were a main focal point for the upgrade audit. Therefore, our internal audit team started preparing and evaluating all of our internal processes a year in advance.

Our week-long audit consisted of checks and balances for all departments with a focus on a thorough process. Auditors asked numerous employees questions about our policy statement, process controls, and documentation and all of them answered them flawlessly. Auditors evaluated our overall risk towards our customer satisfaction and reviewed all required documentation to demonstrate how we manage each step of the process.

In an industry with several safety critical parts, there is little room for error and our process and employees proved we can be held to this precedent standard. President/CEO Jody Fledderman commented, “Batesville Tool and Die takes Customer requirements and expectations very seriously and it was critical for our management and workforce to embrace and achieve this certification. This accomplishment will allow us to continue to be a premier supplier in the automotive industry. For that reason, we are proud to have completed and received our IATF 16949 Certification.”
