The amount of volunteer time and commitment it takes to present such an event is unprecedented. I’m very thankful to everyone involved,” said Mayor Mike Bettice.

“For the past three years, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Star-Spangled event has attracted roughly 3,000 people and we are certain that this year will be no exception. This community-wide endeavor requires the support of numerous organizations, businesses, and individuals besides the annual commitment of the city of Batesville, Hillenbrand Inc., and the Batesville Area Arts Council. It is a true example of coming together in community spirit to bring a cultural experience to people of all ages. It is our hope that you join us again to witness an amazing night of music and fireworks,” said Sarah Heppner, Executive Director, Batesville Area Arts Council.

“On behalf of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, I would like the Batesville community and surrounding area to know how much we appreciate being part of your Independence Day celebration. It has become a highlight of our summer to participate,” said ISO Chief Executive Officer James Johnson.

“We are delighted to continue our joint efforts with The City of Batesville, Batesville Area Arts Council, and ISO to promote arts and culture in our community,” said Kim Ryan, President & CEO of Hillenbrand. “Through community gatherings like the Star-Spangled Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra event, we are able to give back to our community and our workforce while highlighting cultural opportunities within the City of Batesville.
