The Batesville Bulldogs competed in a 3-way cross country meet at East Central Monday evening taking on the Trojans and the Greendale Tigers. The boys had the honor of running first with Levi Essick leading the Bulldogs to a victory. He crossed the finish line first in a time of 12:00. Hank Bohman was second for the Bulldogs with a 4th place finish, followed by Cael Luhman in 5th, Abe Trossman in 8th, Ryan Benz in 10th, and Wyatt Essick in 13th. Batesville posted a team score of 28 to the 2nd-place Tigers with 46 points and the Trojans with 52 points.
The Lady Bulldogs stepped to the start with the same tenacity and likewise brought home the victory. Ava Wade was the meet champ in a time of 11:36. Elia Wade was next in 4th, Jayla Bedel in 5th, Hilary Ziegler in 6th, Rosie Gilland in 7th, Maycee Holtkamp in 8th, and Nya Moon in 9th. The Batesville team score was 23 points while East Central scored 41 points. Greendale was incomplete.
