Batesville School Board elects new officers

batesville-bulldogsBATESVILLE, Ind. — The Batesville School Board elected new board officers at their January meeting Monday night.

Jeremy Raver was elected as board president, and Cindy Blessing was elected as Vice-President.

Students from Batesville’s AppleCare program gave the monthly “Believe in Better” report.

Batesville’s AppleCare program helps students and staff with Apple technology throughout the school.

The students will be holding technology training plans again this semester for members of the community.

The school board approved a request to accept a charitable donation.

The estate of James Fritsch donated over $200,000 to use for donations.

Melissa Burton, Director of Student Learning, gave an update o the Dual Language Immersion Program.

Registration will begin on Tuesday, January 24, for the 2017-2018 school year.

There are only 48 spaces available, and registration is only online.

There will be 3 parent meetings in the future for the program.

They will be held on:

  • January 24 at 6:00 PM
  • February 22 at 6:30 PM
  • March 16 at 6:00 PM
