Batesville resident receives Indiana Sheriff’s Association Scholarship

(Ripley County, IN) – Megan Laflin of Batesville was recently presented with a $750 scholarship by Ripley County Sheriff Rob Bradley on behalf of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association (ISA) Scholarship Committee Thursday.

Laflin is one of 40 students across the state to be awarded the ISA Scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year.

The ISA says the scholarship fund was established for the benefit of the members of the association and other qualified individuals.

The general qualifications for applicants are to be an active affiliate or associate member of the ISA or a dependent child or grandchild of an active affiliate or associate member of the association, be an Indiana resident, attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student (12 hours).

A person who has received a scholarship in a prior year may apply for a renewal of the scholarship for up to three successive years.
