Batesville Middle wins boys and girls Ripley County CC titles

Batesville hosted the Ripley County Middle School Cross Country meet Thursday.  Both Batesville teams won.  The BMS girls scored a perfect 15 points and Milan was second with 48.  Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley had incomplete teams.  The Batesville boys had a winning score of 19 with the Raiders taking second with 48.  The Eagles and Indians did not have a full squald.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Charlotte Trossman crossing the finish line first in the girls’ race in 12:46. She was followed by Maycee Holtkamp in 3rd, Hilary Ziegler 4th, Caitlin Raver 5th, Jayla Bedel 6th, Belle Young 7th and Olivia Wells in 11th.

The Dogs’ Cannon Clark placed 2nd overall for the boys with a time of 11:18 behind Milan’s Gabe Riehle who won with a mark of 11:11. Additional Batesville finishers included: Landon Raver 4th, Howard Hund 5th, Cash Myers 6th, Levi Essick 8th, Winston Garrett 10th and Abe Trossman 12th.
