Batesville man killed in three-vehicle accident Friday

West Harrison, IN — Shortly before 4 pm on Friday, the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office along with Harrison Fire and EMS, New Trenton Fire, and Bright EMS were dispatched to the area of US 52 and I-74 in Harrison Township for a crash involving three vehicles.

Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies learned that a 2019 Dodge Ram truck driven by Aaron Sena, 40, of Guilford was traveling east on US 52 when a 2019 Subaru passenger car driven by Ronald Green, 78, of Batesville, attempted to turn onto the I-74 westbound ramp in front of Sena.

Green’s vehicle was struck on the passenger side by Sena. Green’s vehicle then struck a Hyundai SUV driven by Gregory Riede, 69, of West Harrison. Passengers in Green’s vehicle were Albert Geis, 83, of Batesville, Phillip Stevens, 72 of Batesville, and Andrew Weisenbach, 85, of Batesville. The drivers and passengers in the crash were all transported to area hospitals.

Weisenbach was unconscious at the scene and deputies learned later that he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
