Batesville man escapes injury in Ohio pickup truck collision

(Darke County, OH) – A 27-year-old Batesville man escaped injury while another driver was hurt in a two-vehicle collision early Monday in Darke County, Ohio.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office says just before 12:30 a.m. Monday a pickup truck driven by 35-year-old Lance Harrison of Union City, Ohio was eastbound on Ohio 47 at U.S. 127 when he failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign at the intersection.

A pickup truck pulling a trailer driven by Dustin Nobbe of Batesville was struck at the intersection.

The collision caused Nobbe’s trailer to overturn in the roadway.

Nobbe was not injured but Harrison was treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. Also responding to the accident scene were the Ansonia (Ohio) Fire Department and Ansonia Rescue.
