(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Lions Club will commemorate Earth Day and Arbor Day by holding a tree giveaway starting at 10 a.m. Saturday in front of Schmidt Bakery.
They’ll distribute 100 each of White Pine and Tulip starter trees on a first come, first served basis – while supplies last.
Lions Club members will also collect used eyeglasses, hearing aids, hand-held radios and cell phones and medical equipment, along with donations of canned goods on behalf of the Batesville Food Pantry.
