(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Street Department has started curbside leaf collection, which will conclude in mid-December.
On average, it takes between two to four weeks to make a complete circuit of the city, depending on the weather.
Residents are asked to assist by following some guidelines to ensure a successful leaf collection program:
- Place leaves as close to the edge of the street as possible without placing leaves in the street.
- Be sure that leaves are free of any other debris.
- Cars are not blocking the path of the leaf machine.
- No loose leaves are collected in alleyways.
Please note that this service is provided only to those living in the Batesville city limits.
Collection schedules will only be interrupted in the event of severe weather or equipment malfunction.
