Batesville JV baseball score 3 runs in first and sixth innings in 6-1 win over Greensburg

Batesville junior varsity baseball defeated Greensburg 6-1 on Thursday.

The Bulldogs scored 3 in the bottom of the 1st inning to get things started. The Batesville junior varsity also tallied three runs in the sixth inning. The big sixth inning was thanks to a triple by Carson Schneider, a single by Paxton Harris, and a double by Josh Borgman.

Dane Dudley earned the victory on the hill for Batesville. The lefthander allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out five. Ethan Lacey threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Chase Tekulve was on the hill for Greensburg. The southpaw surrendered five runs on seven hits over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking one. Logan Meyer threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Batesville tallied nine hits. Dudley, Schneider, and Borgman each had multiple hits for the team.
