Batesville JV baseball earns victory against New Palestine in pitcher’s duel

Both teams were strong on the mound Tuesday, but Batesville junior varsity baseball’s was just a bit stronger, defeating New Palestine 3-1. Bulldogs pitcher Jaiden Kuria allowed just two hits to New Palestine.

Kuria was credited with the victory for Batesville. The righty went seven innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out 12.

The Bulldogs saw the ball well, racking up six during the game. Brayden Maple and Alex Krekeler all collected multiple hits for the team. Krekeler and Maple each collected two hits to lead Batesville.
