Batesville Holly Jolly Holidays events take place Friday

Batesville, IN — The City of Batesville, the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, and Batesville Main Street will co-host the 12^th annual Holly Jolly Holidays Parade and Tree Lighting Friday from 4-8 pm.

The parade route and timing are as follows:

• 5:00 pm Parade line-up begins at Batesville Middle School;
• 6:00 pm Parade Start-Mulberry Street;
• Left onto George Street;
• Left onto Main Street to Boehringer Street;
• Right onto Boehringer Street;
• Right onto Park Avenue;
• Right onto Catherine Street (where the parade will disband)
• Santa is at the end of the Parade and will turn Right onto George Street and end at Inspiration Park.

After the parade will be a community sing-a-long with Miss Shannon and Bryce Mullins, followed by the Mayor’s Proclamation and the Tree Lighting with Santa at Inspiration Park next to George Street.

There are a number of street and parking lot closures that are going into effect starting Thursday evening:

Thursday, December 1 – 
8:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 2 – Parking Lot off Main Street, South of Total Tech – CLOSED
Friday, December 2 – 
8:00 am – 8:30 pm Entrance into the parking lot off Main Street, North of Total Tech – CLOSED
3:00 – 8:30 pm George Street CLOSED from Main to Sycamore Streets
3:00 – 8:30 pm NO THRU TRAFFIC – Parking Lot East of Inspiration Park (Corner of Wash N Dry)
3:00 – 8:30 pm Entrance into the parking lot off George Street and the entire lot in front of Ken’s Auto – CLOSED
3:00 – 8:30 pm E. Pearl Street (Parking spaces only)
3:00 – 8:30 pm Sycamore Street, from George to South Street – CLOSED
3:00 – 8:00 pm No Parking on Main Street, from George Street to Boehringer Street

The City says vehicles not removed are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.
