Batesville girls varsity tennis wins 4-1 at Rushville

The Batesville High School girls varsity tennis team posted a 4-1 win in their match at Rushville on Tuesday.

Laney Walsman posted a 6-2 and 6-3 win over Brooklyn Newbold at No. 1 singles to lead the Bulldogs. Annie Negovetich recorded a second win at No. 3 singles, winning 6-0 and 6-0 over Katie Tabeling.

Cayman Werner and Summer Ratcliffe won 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 1 doubles against Morgan Beard and Jade Edwards. No. 2 doubles Belle Westerfeld and Molly Meer completed the doubles sweep, defeating Megan Alexander and Lanea Adams 6-3 and 6-1.

The junior varsity team was a 4-0 winner. Josie Meyer, Madison Wanstrath, and Addie Fledderman each won matches 6-0. The doubles team of Katie Bauer and Maggie Wilson were also 6-0 winners.
