Batesville’s Girls Soccer won in a penalty kick shootout Saturday over Connersville, 2-1 (PK 4-2).
After a scoreless first half, both teams netted a goal in the second half. Neither team scored during 14 minutes of overtime as the score remained 1-1. Batesville outscored Connersville 4-2 in penalty kicks to win the match 2-1.
Connersville coach Jeff Cooley reported the Spartans goal in regulation was scored by Brittney Bottomley and keeper Eden Judd had 18 saves.
The JV Spartans and Bulldogs tied 1-1. Karly Lane scored the only goal for Connersville and Keegan Garrison had nine saves according to Cooley.
