Batesville Girls Soccer Defeats Greensburg

The Lady Bulldogs JV pulled off another strong win, despite only playing one half, 5-0 over Greensburg on Monday night. With connecting passes and communication on the field, the first goal was a cross-goal shot by Maddie Prewitt on a pass from Addie Reding. Quickly following, Reding scored on a pass back from McKenzie Maple. Paige Allgeier then scored on a cross from Prewitt, making the score 3-0. Karsyn Watson ended the game with an assist to Lacey Gillman and with her own unassisted goal. The Lady Bulldogs had 17 shots on goal from nine different players. The defense continued to show solidarity, holding Goalie Sarah Bedel to only one save during the half. JV plays Monday, September 18th at home vs Mt. Vernon at 6:00 pm with varsity following at 7:30 pm.

The varsity team continued their run with a win of 8-1 over the Lady Pirates. Goals came from several Bulldogs in the match. Elena Kuisel and Grace Gibbs each netted two for the night. Addie Reding, Emma Miller, Ella Wolters, and Billie Puente each had one. Contributing to the assists were Sydney Slavin with two and Karli Lindblom and Emma Miller each with one. This moves the team record to 8-1 overall, 5-1 in the EIAC. The varsity team will be participating in a “Kickin Cancer” tournament this weekend at Greenfield-Central before taking on Mt. Vernon at home on Monday.
