Batesville Freshman baseball sailed to an easy victory over Union County 14-1 in 5 innings on Wednesday night.
Ethan Schneider was the winning pitcher for Batesville Freshman Bulldogs, going five innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out eight.
Dalton Creech took the loss for Union County. The right-hander surrendered one run on one hit over one inning, striking out one and walking one.
Schneider went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Batesville in hits. The Bulldogs stole ten bases during the game, with three players stealing more than one. Schneider led the way with three.
