(Batesville, IN) — It’s your chance to become the owner of one of Indiana’s largest estates when it goes on the auction block Saturday.

The nearly 17,000 square-foot home on County Road 400 East in Batesville known as Le Reve – which is French for “The Dream” –  sits on 15 acres and is situated along Bischoff Reservoir.

It also offers a private boat dock, a wine cellar, a greenhouse, a finished basement with a theater room, a barn equipped with horse stables, and many other amenities.

“There’s a geothermal system, fireplaces throughout, amazing views of the lake almost from every single room. Just a really stunning property,” said John Torrey, a broker with DeCaro Auctions International.

The final preview will take place Friday from 1-4 pm and by appointment only through DeCaro Auctions’ website or by calling 800-332-3767.

The estate was originally listed for $5.5 million, but Torrey says that has no bearing on the price at auction – meaning it will be sold to the highest bidder.

The auction opens on the property at 11 am Saturday.
