(Batesville, IN) – Batesville City Council approved a five-year tax abatement Monday night for Trinity Guardion, Inc., which is planning to expand its manufacturing capabilities.

The hospital equipment and supply manufacturer plans to purchase new equipment and invest $450,000 into its current facility on Eastern Avenue. In addition, the company is looking to hire 35 new employees over the next three years.

Trinity Guardion manufactures a Soteria hospital bed barrier that provides customers with an alternate method to reprocesses or clean mattresses and beds between patients.

The company says the new equipment lead time is 12 weeks, with an expected start up in September.

The Economic Development Commission forwarded the request to City Council with a favorable recommendation.
