BATESVILLE, Ind. — Thursday night, the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting and dinner at Walhill Farm in Batesville.
The theme for the evening was Recognizing Game Changers in the Community.
The evening started with Guest Speaker Dave Collins, former outfielder with the Cincinnati Reds.
The chamber recognized various individuals within the community as well.
Mrs. Jenny Lents from St. Louis School was recognized as educator of the year.
Mr. Ed Krause from the Batesville School Corporation was recognized as volunteer of the year.
The Batesville Area Historical Society was named Organization of the Year.
Carolyn Dieckmann and Bill Flannery accepted the award on the behalf of the Historical Society.
