After a weekend weather delay, the Batesville Bulldogs competed in the EIAC Championship meet on Monday, January 13, delivering standout performances on both the women’s and men’s sides.
Lady Bulldogs Secure Runner-Up Finish
The Lady Bulldogs claimed a second-place finish, narrowly outscoring Connersville and Greensburg. Isabel Raab and Sarah Bedel led the way, with Bedel earning second place in the 100 Breaststroke and Raab achieving third in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle events.
Freshman Cora Miller made a strong impression, podiuming in all four of her events, while junior Kate Fullenkamp celebrated her first podium finish as part of the 200 Medley Relay team.
Men’s Team Battles to Fourth Place
On the men’s side, the Bulldogs fought hard for a podium spot but ultimately finished fourth, just behind Connersville. Ben Kuntz posted some of the team’s biggest time improvements, while Matthew Lambert earned the highest individual finish with a second-place result in the 50 Freestyle.
