The Batesville boy’s 8th-grade basketball team traveled to North Decatur last night to take the Chargers. The Bulldogs came home with a 57 to 27 victory. The Bulldogs used a hot start to jump out to an 18 to 2 in the first quarter and never looked back. The score at halftime was the Bulldogs 27 and the Chargers 13. It was a total team effort with 8 different Bulldogs scoring in the contest. Scoring for the Dogs were Kamryn Holcomb with 10 points, James Hughes with 10, Braydin Hughes with 9, Preston Blessing with 7, Cole Abrams with 7, Carson Hartley with 7, Jevan “Buckets” Smith with 4, and Ian Hixon with 3. The victory brings the Bulldog’s record to 8 wins and 1 loss. The Dogs will be back in action this Thursday as they host Greendale Middle School.
