Batesville Deanery Semi-Finals.
St. Louis-1 27 St. Michael’s-2 22
St. Michael’s-1 43 St. Louis-2 33
In a game where point would be hard to come by, St. Louis-1 was able to defeat St. Michael’s-2 27-22 to advance to the deanery finals for the second year in a row.
St. Michael’s-2 was able to control the tempo of the game and were able to keep themselves in the game. St. Louis-2 would take a 2 point lead after the first quarter 11-9 as Anthony Butz hit a jumper at the buzzer. Defense was the story in the a second quarter as both teams would only score 2 points each and St. Louis would lead 13-11 at halftime.
The second half would be a repeat of the first half as neither team could get anything going on the offensive end. This was a good team we beat and they were able to control the tempo of the game, but we were able to grind it out and get the win.
We were glad to get the win and be able to play for the deanery championship next Sunday.

St, Louis-2 season came to an end as they fell to St. Michael’s-1 43-33.
St. Michael’s-1 jumped out to a quick 14-2 lead after one period but St. Louis-2 would close the gap to 1 and trailed 16-15 at halftime. The third quarter would be the difference in the game as St. Michael-1 would take a 35-25 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
We just couldn’t get the ball to fall today. This was a good group of kids and enjoyed coaching them. St. Louis-2 would end their season with a 7-3 record.
