The Batesville 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball team again played without a full roster on Tuesday night but toughed out a 35-27 win at Rushville. Batesville started the game on a 13-2 run and finished with a 13-7 spurt in the fourth quarter to put the game away after watching its lead trickle down to a single possession going into the final six minutes. Jackson Peetz led all scorers with 10 points and Liam Moon put in a season-high eight points. Camden Kaiser finished with seven points, Levi Hunt totaled six points, and Eli Denni put in four points while holding Rushville’s leading scorer to two points on the defensive end. The Bulldogs finish the regular season with a 12-4 record and open the SEI Tourney at home next Tuesday against South Dearborn.
