Batesville 8th Grade Boys Basketball

The Batesville boy’s 8th-grade basketball team held their home opener Thursday night against cross-town rival St. Louis. The gym was packed and the atmosphere was electric as the Bulldogs were victorious in the game by the final score of 55 to 28. The Bulldogs started out hot with a 15 to 2 lead at the end of the first quarter and continued to lead throughout the game. It was a total team effort as every player on the team contributed either through scoring, rebounding, passing, or playing great defense. This brings the 8th-grade boy’s record for the season to 3 wins and 1 loss.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Ian Hixson with 2 points, Kamryn Holcomb with 5, Jevan Smith with 8, Issac Weber with 3, Caleb Laker with 1, Carson Hartley with 10, Kole Abrams with 10, James Hughes with 7, Mathew Maher with 4, and Braydin Hughes 5.

The Bulldogs will next be in action on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at home as they host Jac-Cen-Del.
