Tuesday night saw Batesville’s 8th Grade Middle School Basketball team lose on a buzzer-beater to unbeaten South Ripley, falling 41-39. The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 14 in the first half only to come back in the second half before falling in a heartbreaker. Carson Meyer led the Bulldogs with 25 points and that was followed by Jackson Peetz and Levi Hunt with five points each. Eli Denni scored four points off the bench. Batesville (1-2) meets up with St. Louis on Thursday night in a crosstown matchup.
