The Batesville Middle School boy’s 7th-grade basketball team hosted the Connersville Spartans for their last regular season game. The Bulldogs came away with the win by a score of 47-32. The Bulldogs got out to a great scoring 6 straight points and creating turnovers. The Bulldogs took a 15-6 lead to end the first quarter. The Spartans gave the Bulldogs a lot of trouble to start the second quarter by scoring 6 straight points. The Bulldogs settled down and were able to finish the quarter strong and take the lead 21-14 to end the half. The Bulldogs came out firing and were able to score 26 points in the half and would eventually hold onto the lead to give the bulldogs their 11th win of the season. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Camden Kaiser with 12, Jackson Peetz with 10, Carson Meyer with 9, Levi Hunt with 7, Winston Garrett with 5, and Liam Wagner and Brody Mauk with 2 points. The Bulldogs will travel to Lawrenceburg on Monday to start the SEI Tournament.
