The Batesville 7th grade middle school boy’s basketball lost a heartbreaker to the Rushville lions oy a score of 28-31. In the first quarter, the Bulldogs took an early lead by outscoring the lions 10-0 The second quarter wasn’t as friendly to the bulldogs as they were held scoreless and Rushville closed the gap to 1 at halftime The bulldogs started to find their rhythm again in the third quarter and were able to take a 2-point lead into the 4th quarter. With a tie game in the 4th, the bulldogs got a great look to take the lead late in the game but came up short. With time expiring, the lions hit a three at the buzzer to win the game. The Bulldogs have nothing to hang their heads about and hope to get on the winning track against Connersville on Thursday night. Leading in scoring was Winston Garrett with 10, Carson Meyer with 9, Levi Hunt with 4, Camden Kaiser with 3, and Jackson Peetz with 2 points. The Bulldogs are now 10-9 on the season as they head into their last regular season game.
