Batesville watched a 5-0 lead slip away in a 7-5 loss to Shelbyville.
The Golden Bears, who only had two hits on the night, got a lot of help with four BHS errors and nine issued walks.
Offensively for the Bulldogs, Zach Wade singled, doubled and batted in a run. Jack Grunkemeyer had two RBI. Will Jaisle and Will Sherwood both plated a run.

Connersville was a 10-6 winner over Yorktown.
The Spartans Gavin Pearson and Brayden Lykins both had two hits and an RBI while Chance Bentley went deep on a two-run tater.

North Decatur’s junior high beat South Decatur 11-3.
The Chargers Garrett Schwering and Eli Trenkamp both had two its. One of Schwering’s was a triple. Trenkamp pitched 3-2/3 innings for the win iwth five strikeouts.
