Barbara Bond

Barbara “Barb” Bond, 84 years old of Harrison, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Barb grew up in Cincinnati, graduated from Seton High School and met her soon-to-be husband, James,
in Cincinnati. When they started a family, Barb took on the role of a stay-at-home mom and was a
dedicated mother of five. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and sewing. Once the kids were in school, Barb
worked at P&G for 17 years as a telecommunications operator. The Bond family lived in several places
between Cincinnati and Indiana, including Bright and Yorkville. Family was everything to Barb. She
enjoyed family gatherings, especially the Thanksgiving holiday. For over 40 years, Barb hosted
Thanksgiving dinner for many friends and family. Barb played cards, puzzles and word games and was
known to win most of the time.  In fact, Barb loved word puzzles so much, she often created her own.
She loved living in the country and enjoyed the flowers around her home. Barb and James shared a love
of dogs, often having 3 or 4 at a time.  “A home isn’t a home without dogs” was a motto that seemed to
fit them well.
Barb will be deeply missed by James, her husband of 66 years; children Robin (Bob) Reckers of Loveland,
