The organization says it’s a month-long celebration of creativity and artistic expression showcasing talented artists from across Southeastern Indiana and beyond.
Artists age 18 and older are encouraged to submit original artwork in a variety of mediums, including photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, woodworking, fiber arts, ceramics, poetry, and more.
Artwork categories include:
- Photography
- Fine Arts 2D
- Fine Arts 3D
- Applied Arts
- Poetry
New this year is a special category that will feature artwork selected for display in the new Margaret Mary Health hospital facility, which BAAC says will create an exciting opportunity for artists to have their work showcased in a prominent community space.
All artwork entered into the show will be displayed at the Batesville Memorial Public Library from May 29 through June 30.
The public is encouraged to visit the library throughout the month and vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Cash prizes will be awarded in the categories of Fine Arts 2D, Fine Arts 3D, Applied Arts, Poetry, and Photography.
BAAC says there are several important dates to keep in mind:
