Aurora, IN — An Aurora man was arrested Tuesday on multiple counts of child exploitation following a five-month investigation by Indiana State Police-Versailles Post detectives and the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force.
38-year-old David McDaniel was taken into custody after a search warrant was served at his home.
He is facing four counts of Child Exploitation/Possession of Child Pornography (all Level 5 felonies).
ISP says the investigation began in June when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children submitted a cyber tip to the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Troopers say the tip indicated someone in Aurora received and transmitted images depicting child pornography.
McDaniel was identified as a suspect during the investigation.
He is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending an initial court appearance.
State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
