Rising Sun, IN—An ATV benefit ride is being held to honor Officer David Hewitt, the former Rising Sun Police Chief who died in a car accident in February 2019. The Chief has been awarded inclusion to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC and all proceeds from the benefit will help with travel expenses for his family to attend the dedication. The cost is $25 per unit and includes two meal tickets. $10 for each additional rider and kids 12 and under are free. The event will be held at the Ohio County Fair Grounds on April 18.
