Attic fire damages New Trenton home

NEW TRENTON, IN — The New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department responded early Friday evening to an attic fire at a home on the 2000 block of Lenmary Road.

With help from the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, the flames were knocked down within minutes.

Everyone got out of the house safely, and there were no injuries reported.

Investigators say the incident has no connection with three suspected arson fires that happened over Christmas weekend on the same road.

The investigation into those fires at the former Camp Lenmary is still going on.

Anyone with information about the Christmas fires is urged to call 1-800-382-4628.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone providing a tip will remain anonymous.
