Cedar Grove, IN — The former fiancé of a Fairfield, Ohio woman whose body was found in Franklin County nearly 10 years ago has been arrested in connection with her murder.
Katelyn Markham disappeared in August 2011, and her remains were found along Big Cedar Road near Cedar Grove on April 7, 2013.
Markham’s former fiancé, John Carter, is facing two counts of murder in Butler County, Ohio in connection with her death.
Another man, Jonathan Palmerton, was arrested last month on a perjury charge for allegedly lying to investigators looking into the case, which received national attention.
It was featured on the syndicated TV show “Crime Watch Daily” in 2016, and one of the searches for Markham was conducted by Texas EquuSearch.
