(Jefferson County, IN) – A 37-year-old Switzerland County man has been arrested on rape and other charges after a 13-year-long investigation.
Indiana State Police say Craig Long broke into a Jefferson County home and sexually assaulted a woman in July of 2011.
However, DNA technology did not help them identify him as a suspect until last year.
Long was arrested Wednesday on two counts of Rape; two counts of Burglary (all Class A felonies); and one count of Aggravated Battery (Class B felony) and was booked in the Jefferson County Jail.
He made his initial appearance in Jefferson County Superior Court Thursday morning, where he was ordered held on a $500,000 bond.
