Area Under A Slight Risk for Severe Weather

(Southeastern IN) – All of Southeastern Indiana is under a slight (2 out of 5) risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service upgraded the area from marginal (1 out of 5) overnight.

Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms will develop today and continue into tonight, with a few severe storms possible.

The main severe threat will be damaging wind and isolated large hail, and a tornado or two can’t be ruled out.

Besides the storms, wind gusts to around 40 mph can be expected tonight and tomorrow.
