(Statewide) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) has declared an Air Quality Alert through Thursday, June 8 for all Indiana counties.
The alert for Southeastern Indiana and elsewhere is in effect until Midnight
This comes as a result of haze and smoke from Canadian wildfires spreading across the region.
Particulates and ozone levels are expected to be in the “Orange” or “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” range.
Active children and adults, and people with respiratory diseases, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.
