(Southeastern Indiana) – Decatur, Franklin, and Ripley Counties are in “moderate drought” conditions, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
NOAA released its weekly US Drought Monitor Map Thursday. Large portions of area counties are in “moderate drought” conditions.
The southwestern part of Decatur County and a sliver of western Ripley County were placed in a “severe drought.”
Meanwhile, the eastern half of Franklin County is only classified as “abnormally dry.”
