(Batesville, IN) – One of Batesville’s favorite fall traditions is back.
The Batesville Kiwanis Club invites you to celebrate the 35th Annual Applefest on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at Liberty Park.
Organizers say Applefest will once again fill Liberty Park with live entertainment, food, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities and and plenty of opportunities to make lasting family memories.
Saturday’s activities include wood-turning demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Ed and Deno Music from Noon to 1 p.m., and The Roundups from 2 to 4 p.m.
Guests can also enjoy a karate demonstration at 1 p.m.; trackless Kiwanis train rides throughout the day; a bounce house, and additional family activities.
Sunday’s entertainment begins with Marisa Fullenkamp at Noon, followed by the always-popular Applefest Pageant at 1 p.m. featuring the Apple Bud, Apple Blossom, and King and Queen participants.
The Eureka Band takes the stage at 2:30 p.m., and Kids Discovery Factory will provide interactive exploration, discovery and play from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday will also bring an extra-special addition to this year’s celebration when the Cincinnati Railway Experience makes a stop in Batesville from Noon to 3 p.m.
Approximately 300 railway guests are expected to visit Applefest, and Batesville Kiwanis members say they’re excited to welcome them to the community and share one of this area’s longstanding fall traditions.
Food will be available throughout both days, and guests can look forward to fresh apples and cider from Villa Orchard, mums from W.J. Strassel & Sons, craft vendors, and much more.
