Anthony W. “Tony” Fasbinder

Anthony W. “Tony” Fasbinder, age 50 of Bedford, Indiana, formerly of Batesville, died Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his home.  Born May 10, 1973 in Batesville, he is the son of Marita (Nee:  Meadows) and John C. Fasbinder.  Tony was a Manufacturing Design Engineer having worked for Bedford Tool and Die for 17 years and currently was employed with General Motors in Bedford for the past 10 years.  He was a member of the Otis Park Golf Course and the Jaycees, both in Bedford.

Tony loved to play golf. He enjoyed being a member of the Otis Park Golf Course where he and his Power-Fade golf league team won the Club Championship there in 2021.  He also enjoyed playing in a lot of charity golf events, with one of them being the Breaking Parkinson’s Michael J. Fox Foundation golf outing at West Chester, Ohio, which he and his brothers participated in, in memory of their dad, John.

Tony loved his dog Millie (a Teddy Bear breed), whom he often referred to as his “dog niece” and adored his brother Scott’s cat named Bumbles.

Tony was an Indianapolis Colts fan, an avid Star Wars fan and also loved to collect pewter statues of wizards and dragons.

Tony loved his nieces and nephews and was good friends with all his co-workers.  He was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his mother Marita Fasbinder of Batesville; brothers and sisters in law Scott and Lee Ann Fasbinder of Batesville, John D. and Kendra Fasbinder of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Christopher and Kimberly Fasbinder of Columbus, Ohio; nieces Emmery and Cayleigh Fasbinder; nephews Cole and Gabriel Fasbinder.   Tony was preceded in death by his father John C. Fasbinder and nephew Chase Fasbinder.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8th, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville.  Funeral services are at 1 pm., with Rev. Chris Renick officiating.  The burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Batesville.  Memorials contributions may be made to the Breaking Parkinson’s Foundation.  Online condolences may be made at www.weigelfh.com.
