Andrew Clinton “Drew” Slater, 57, of Dillsboro passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Cincinnati. Drew was born on Tuesday, March 14, 1967, in Valparaiso, Florida; son of Robert and Stevetta (Green) Slater. Drew served in the United States Marine Corps. Drew owned and operated his own plumbing business, Drew’s Plumbing. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved to go on trail rides, Jeep rides, and loved to be on or near the water. Drew was also known to love his friends and was known to be a friend that you could always count on. He will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated friend, proud father, and an animal lover.
Drew will be missed by his significant other Tracy Ashcraft of Dillsboro; daughter Hannah (David) Hurst of Dothan, Alabama; father Robert Slater of Dothan, Alabama; sister Sabrina (Robert) George of Caddo Mills, Texas; and 3 grandchildren.
Drew was preceded in death by his mother Stevetta Slater.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 – 4 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Side Street Station, 10053 Guion Street, Dillsboro, IN 47018. Memorials may be given in honor of Drew to 1Voice.
