Alvin L Senger, 86, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Tuesday November 13, 2018.
He was born July 18, 1932 in Aurora, Indiana, son of the late Lee Senger and Hilda (Zimmerman) Senger.
Alvin served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He also served on the Color Guard.
He worked for National Lead, then went on to Monsanto Chemical, where he retired in 1995.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Aurora.
Alvin loved to tinker with things; he and his sons even built a boat together. His family was very important to him, and he will be greatly missed.
Alvin is survived by his loving spouse of 66 years, Darlene Senger (Tewell), sons, Kevin Senger of Aurora, IN, Keith Senger of Aurora, IN, Kirt Senger of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Sydney Senger of Clarksville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Hunger and Griselda Baum.
Friends will be received Monday, November 19, 2018, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home 219 Mechanic St., Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran School or donor’s choice. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
