Knightstown, IN – The North Decatur Lady Chargers made the drive up to Knightstown on Saturday to take on the Panthers, as they look to extend their win streak to 4 games.
North Decatur got out to a quick start on the road, jumping out to a 14-5 lead after the first quarter with solid defensive effort and the offense was clicking. Madi Allen showed signs of a big game early.
The second quarter was more of the same for the Lady Chargers. They held their own on the defensive end and continued to show their dominance on the offensive end of the floor. They took a 30-11 lead into the locker room, feeling good about their performance, but not satisfied.
Like before, North Decatur came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. They stacked up 20 points and extended their lead to 50-21 heading into the fourth quarter. Senior Madi Allen continued to control this game in all ways.
To wrap things up in the fourth quarter, the Lady Chargers outscored Knightstown 10-6 and claimed a 60-27 victory, their second 40+ point victory in a row. They also extended their winning streak to 4 games.
Like said before, Senior Madi Allen had a monster game, boasting a stat line of… 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, on 68% from the field, nearing a triple-double! Carmen Thackery also added 11 points on 4/10 from the field. Jo Whitaker had 7 points, Ally Whitaker had 4 points, and several others added 3 points.
North Decatur will again look to add to their winning streak when they face South Ripley on Tuesday, 12/3.
