BROOKVILLE, IN — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged threat at Franklin County High School.
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted after school officials received a tip about the threat Wednesday morning.
The nature of the threat has not been released.
“We take all threats seriously and our deputies are working with school officials to conduct a thorough investigation,” said Franklin County Sheriff Peter Cates. “We would also like to commend the person or persons who came forward and reported the alleged threat to the school officials.”
In addition to Sheriff’s deputies conducting the investigation, there is an increased law enforcement presence at the high school.
