AG wants discipline against abortion provider for telling rape victim’s story

Indianapolis, IN — Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is calling for sanctions against an abortion doctor.

Rokita wants the State Medical Licensing Board to issue discipline against Dr. Caitlin Bernard after she provided abortion services to a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio.

The Attorney General alleges Bernard broke the law when she told the girl’s age to a reporter.

Dr. Bernard has sued the Attorney General’s office and has requested an emergency preliminary injunction to stop Rokita from gaining access to medical records.

A judge in Marion County is expected to issue a ruling on that request soon.
